4-H Dog Obedience

4-H Dog Obedience classes will soon be underway! April dates have been set and will take place at the Yates County Fairgrounds from 5:30-6:45 PM Additional dates will soon be set for May.

4-H youth with a dog 12 weeks or older are welcome to participate. All dogs must provide proof of current rabies and parvovirus vaccines. Classes will focus on basic dog obedience (sit, stay, down, and heal), grooming and handling, and rally/agility (depending on youth interest). New this year, we will have instruction for both Cloverbud age youth (5-7 years old), as well as youth wishing to build on their current dog obedience knowledge and skills. The cost is $25 per youth for 6 sessions or $5 per youth per session. Youth 5-7 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Please contact Jen if you’re interested in taking part.
