Come explore STEM with Yates County 4-H! Youth will design and build a wearable health monitor by following the engineering design process. The health monitor will consist of a small computer called the ESP8266, a pulse oximeter, and a tilt sensor (which can be used as a pedometer). Youth will explore three important topics: engineering design—especially focused on optimization through testing and refining the design, wearable technologies, and health monitoring to create a device that will track fitness levels in youth and adults.
*Participants will not be able to take their device home
