Bud Grafting Workshop

Grafting is a time-honored technique that allows you to enhance the variety and yield of your established apple trees without needing additional space. As heirloom varieties disappear from the market, food security becomes a pressing issue. This workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn how to preserve diversity in your garden!
Join David Barnet from the Rochester Folk Art Guild for an interactive session where you’ll explore the art and science of bud grafting. You'll have plenty of time for hands-on practice, ensuring you leave with newfound skills and confidence.
Workshop Highlights/Important Notes:
- Scion wood will be available for purchase, allowing you to try grafting on your own trees at home!
- The workshop will take place outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather.
Cost: Pay as you can (sliding scale $0-$30 per person)
