Taught by experienced Master Food Preservers Diane Whitten and Karen Mort, the course combines classroom learning with hands-on practice. Participants will gain a solid foundation in the science of food preservation, food safety, and practical skills, including:

  • Boiling water bath canning
  • Pressure canning
  • Jelled products
  • Quick pickling
  • Demonstrations of freezing, drying, and fermentation

The training also includes a comprehensive food preservation manual. Participants are encouraged to complete nightly study in preparation for the post-test.
