Governance & Voting
CCE-Yates County is governed by a 12-member Board of Directors, which includes 10 elected community volunteers representing towns throughout Yates County. These individuals bring their knowledge of local needs and concerns to help guide the mission and work of our organization.
This year’s Board of Directors nominees are:
In addition to the Board election, Yates County residents will also have the opportunity to vote on proposed updates to the organization’s constitution.
Under County Law 224 of the State of New York, county or regional extension service associations operate “under a form of organization and administration approved by Cornell University as agent for the state.” That governing document is the Association’s Constitution. To remain current with local needs and best practices, the Board reviews its constitution every three years and compares it with current statewide guidelines to identify any needed changes.
