We’re sharing an important message from Justine Patterson, Project Director of SNAP-Ed New York – Southern Finger Lakes Region.
Due to significant federal funding cuts, the SNAP-Ed program in New York State will officially conclude on September 30, 2025. This difficult decision, made at the federal level, was unexpected and impacts communities across our region.
We want to thank our partners, educators, and community members who’ve supported SNAP-Ed’s mission to promote healthy eating, physical activity, and food resource management among SNAP-eligible individuals. Your dedication has made a lasting impact in Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, and Yates Counties.
As we prepare for this transition, our team remains committed to supporting participants through the program’s close. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.
