Annual Meeting 2026

Join us for our annual meeting! Learn about what we do, vote for our new board members, join in the dessert auction, and so much more! Preregistration is required to compete for best pie in Yates County and tour Sweet Farm, and greatly appreciated for the auction donations and dinner. See below for details.

Compete for Best Pie in Yates County!

Make one dessert pie for the contest and one for the auction. Pies to be judged must be dropped off by noon at the CCE Yates County Office on October 7th with the $5 entry fee. A card with your name, number, type of pie, and all ingredients must be included with the pie at the time of drop off.

Donate desserts to the Auction!

Help us raise money for our programming by donating or bidding on a delicious dessert. Baked goods are all welcome and can be dropped off at Sweet Farm in Himrod between 4 and 6 pm on October 7th. To be accepted, a card with your name, number, type of dessert, and a list of all ingredients must accompany your donation. 

Tour Sweet Farm!

Ever wanted a free tour of the gardens of the animal sanctuary? Here is your opportunity! Walk the facility with Sweet Farm staff, meet the rescued animals, and admire the beautiful gardens. Tours begin at 4:30 pm and you can sign-up through our annual meeting registration.  

Enjoy a light but cozy dinner!

Starting at 5:30 pm, local bread, soups, and salad will be served. The meal is donate what you can with a suggested donation of $5. Vegan and gluten free options will be available. 

The Vineyard View Tasting Room will be open for purchase and non-alcoholic beverages will be available as well. 

Community Partnership Presentations!

Perry Snyderman of Sweet Farm will be discussing his numerous collaborations with CCE Yates, including participating in the Cornell Veg Trials, becoming a Master Gardener, becoming a Master Food Preserver, and becoming a 4-H club leader. 

Dana Burton of the Penn Yan Central School District will be presenting on the Farm to School Program at PYCSD and the raised garden beds at the Elementary School, both of which were assisted by CCE Yates.
