Gardening Matters Day

Join us for Gardening Matters Day 2026! 

This gardening event will be held on Saturday April 11^th, 2026, at the Yates County Building Auditorium (417 Liberty Street, Penn Yan, NY 14527) from 10 am to 12 pm.

The Yates County Master Gardeners will be presenting on topics including: 

• Bats in the Garden 
• Introduction to Biochar
• “Plants they used to love” 
• Toxic Outdoor Plants to Pets (cats & dogs)
• Watering Correctly.

All attendees will receive a complimentary “Garden in a Bag” seed collection featuring vegetable, herb, and flower seeds. Plus, they will have a chance to win a raffle prize and bid on silent auction items sourced from local businesses. Refreshments will be provided too. The cost to attend will be on a sliding scale of what you can afford from $0 to $20/person the day of the event.
